Palimpsest

This new body of large scale pwork explores the notion of Palimpsest, partially obscuring painted canvases to make room for new imagery, while bearing visible traces of its history. The graphite slender lines are riffing off of a body of work Albert Oehlen did based on Tramonto Spaventoso [Terrifying Sunset, 1940–49] by John Graham.
